 Mission Statement

Northstar Hydrovac provides 24/7 hydro excavation services to customers in a manner safe for co-workers and the environment, and at a fair value to our customers and shareholders.

Employee training & safety record

Northstar Hydrovac has certificates of recognition in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.  Before our crews go out into the field, each employee must complete our demanding training program and attain vital worker and environmental safety certifications.

All of Northstar Hydrovac's operators are trained and certified in:

  • Hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) safety
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
  • First aid
  • Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG)
  • Confined space procedures
  • Ground disturbance procedures
  • Petroleum safety procedures

Our crew members have an average of 3-year in-field experience, and work by the standards and procedures set out by the Alberta government's COR (Certificate of Recognition) program.
