MECHANIC

Northstar Hydrovac is a busy oilfield and municipal excavation company looking for a heavy-duty mechanic to join our Grande Prairie team. Our shop staff must be able to think creatively, work independently, get along with co-workers, and meet the standards of our safety and drug & alcohol programs. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of our fleet of hydrovac units, water trucks, and pickups; CVIP preparation of units; occasional field attendance with our service truck; basic data entry and evening or weekend as required. The successful applicant must have a Class 1 or 3 license, clean abstract, own tools, reliable personal transportation, and accommodations in or close to Grande Prairie. A journeyman ticket is not necessarily required, if you are a hard working, talented mechanic with at least a couple of years shop experience. Current oilfield tickets are an asset.
